Honest Folk : Nailed in a day
The struggles: what challenges was she facing?
Feeling stuck when it comes to talking about what she does
Messaging that starts to communicate what she does and how she helps her clients, but she knew she could kick things up a notch
She wanted to keep things fun, and full of the unique personality that has brought so many people into her business already, but just couldn’t explain what it really was
What did she need?
A suite of messages that makes what she does seem like a no-brainer source of support for her target customer
Support in bringing consistency to how she talks about what she do, across her web copy, and other core pieces of brand copy
A core definition of fun that makes everything she says sound undeniably like her, and keeps her memorable to her customer
The process:
Step 1: Brand Deep Dive
This was a 2 hour call where we got into the weeds of what Fliss does and how she does it. We pushed deeper into exploring the impact of her work, focusing on questions like:
So what? What difference does that actually make to your customer’s lives?
If they achieve that, what does that bring them, or allow them to do?
Step 2: Sprint Day
We kicked off the day by revealing Fliss’ new messaging and definition of fun (she loved them, btw). Then I cracked on with updating 6 of her web copy pages
So Fliss finished the day with:
Magnetic messaging that captures what her ideal client really wants
A clear definition of fun that represents Fliss’ authentic personality
Kicked up a notch web copy
Step 3: 2 weeks of copy support
After we wrapped up the Sprint Day, Fliss then had the chance to send me over up to 1,000 of copy she wanted me to kick up a notch, and bring in line with her new web copy
She sent me some promo material for an upcoming project she was releasing soon, and I got to work.
But this time, as I was editing her copy, I made a note of what I was doing, and broke this down into clear copy steps and tips for her to follow the next time she wrote copy for her brand.
Things like:
What structures to use
How to use language
What devices she can use to bring her unique definition of fun to life
Ooooh look, some web copy!
So what? What difference did it make to Fliss?
She walked away with:
Spot-on definition of her personality and her brand
Clearly defined messaging that articulates what her ideal clients really want
Themes that keep her content structured
Assets that make creating social content feel straight-forward
A definition of fun that feels easy to weave into her copy and stay consistent with
Web copy that feels kicked up a notch
The confidence to promote her own business with ease
But was it any good?
I don’t know…you’ll have to ask Fliss….
“I worked with Gina for her Nailed in a Day service. Over the last year the thinking around my business had changed and I felt like my messaging wasn’t quite right anymore. I also hadn't ever really articulated my brand’s personality very well in the past. I knew what it wasn't, but couldn't really explain what it was.
It's always hard working on your business on your own, and I needed Gina to help me pull it out of my head and do some of the writing for me!
The process was so easy and our sessions together were really enjoyable. From our initial chat I had ideas buzzing in my head and felt so excited about my business.
Gina absolutely nailed my definition of fun. I’m not a funny person or brand but what she defined is spot in and a perfect description of my brand. I’ve now got messaging defined that perfectly articulates what my ideal clients really want - and clearly defined themes to keep me to a good structure too.
My web copy has gone up a notch and I’m so excited for the next few months of my business, and putting myself out there with confidence and ease.
I 100% recommend working with Gina if you're feeling like your brand isn't coming across the way you really want to. She crafts something that's uniquely yours and that's easy to use too.”
